Urinary Incontinence

At Radiant Women’s Health, we treat and diagnose the causes of urinary incontinence to improve your comfort and confidence.

Urinary incontinence is a loss of bladder control, anything from some leaking urine to a full loss of control. Certainly, urinary incontinence in women is more common, because pregnancy and childbirth put more stress on the pelvic floor/bladder. Additionally, menopause may bring hormonal changes that can lead to incontinence. However, Radiant Women’s Health can help.

What Are the Different Types of Incontinence?

We identify two main types of incontinence. Firstly, there is urge incontinence, which is the sudden, uncontrollable urge to evacuate the bladder. Secondly, there is stress incontinence, which is caused by stress or pressure on the bladder. The onset of stress incontinence may be due to pressure on the bladder that results from pregnancy, weakness of the pelvic floor due to childbirth, or other effects of women’s aging. However, stress incontinence is not a normal consequence of aging you must accept. We have treatments for stress incontinence at Radiant Women’s Health.

How Can We Treat Urinary Incontinence?

At Radiant Women’s Health, we can dramatically reduce stress incontinence by strengthening the pelvic muscles to relieve pressure on the bladder or the urethra. Our treatments for doing this include:

At your consultation, we will review the benefits of each of these procedures and help you decide which one or which combination of these treatments may be right for you.
